User Interviews
Spoke with 10+ diners to understand their experience with the existing menu and site usability.
Key Finding: Users found PDFs frustrating, leading them to abandon the site.

Visual Brand Audit
Evaluated the current site’s contrast ratios and readability.
Key Finding: The branding colour failed accessibility checks with a contrast ratio below 4.5:1.

Competitor Benchmarking
Analysed leading restaurant websites with strong UX.
Key Finding: Competitors offered dynamic menus with better usability and discoverability.
Crafting the Solution: From Insights to Implementation
CMS-Integrated, Dynamic Menu Design
Problem: The existing PDFs caused friction and made updates difficult.
Solution: A dynamic, CMS-powered menu allowing real-time updates.
Impact: Reduced menu update time from hours to minutes, improving operational efficiency.

Accessibility & Visual Refinement
Problem: Low contrast ratios hindered readability.
Solution: Strategically refined the color palette to meet a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, significantly enhancing readability, user experience, and accessibility compliance—all while preserving the brand’s visual identity.
Impact: Accessibility score increased from 87 to 100.

Mobile-First Responsive Redesign
Problem: The old design required excessive scrolling and 12 clicks to access the menu, frustrating users.
Solution: Introduced a card-based, CMS-integrated menu with one-click access, eliminating scrolling—resulting in a 92% reduction in user effort.
Impact: 20% reduction in bounce rates and significantly improved mobile navigation.
